Dr. Ronald L. Gertsch, M.D.
Dr Ronald L. Gertsch is the Medical Director for the Premier Weight Loss Center of San Diego. The facility is centrally located to all of San Diego County. Dr. Gertsch received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Brigham Young University in 1968. He received his Medical Degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana in 1972 and completed a General Surgery Residency at Wright State University in 1977. He was Chief of Surgery at Vandenberg Medical Center, USAF, in Santa Maria, CA, from 1977-79. He is licensed by the State of California as a Doctor of Medicine.
Dr. M. Khalil, M.D., FACS
Dr Michael Khalil has been practicing surgery in San Diego, CA, since 2006. He received his Medical Degree from the Medical University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA, in 1996. He completed his residency in General surgery at the University of Rochester, in 2004. He completed a two-year Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery at the Coastal Obesity Center in San Diego.
Dr Khalil’s hobbies and interests include carpentry and construction – he rebuilt three homes. He is a certified auto mechanic, and a school calligrapher. He enjoys landscaping, fine woodworking, martial arts, classical music, and teaching Sunday school. He speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic.
Dr. Eufrocino C. Martinez, M.D.
Dr. Eufrocino C. Martinez, received his Bachelors of Science degree in 1972, and his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1976, at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. He completed a Rotating Internship at Rizal Provincial Hospital, Pasig, Metro Manila, in 1977.
In 1980, Dr. Martinez was licensed by the Medical Board of California to practice medicine and surgery. In 1984, he served as the director of surgical endoscopy, and completed a General Surgery Residency at Martin Luther King‐Charles Drew Los Angeles County Medical Center, in Los Angeles, CA. In 1966-7, he served as the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Los Angeles Metropolitan Medical Center, Los Angeles, California; and the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery from 1998 to present at Coast Plaza Doctors Hospital in Norwalk, California. He is an Affiliate Surgeon of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, and a member of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity.
